Caol Ila 11 2014/2025 - Mystical Malt Creatures (Murray McDavid) - 1st Fill PX Sherry Cask

This is Caol Ila, an Islay single malt, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 at 11 years old. It matured in a first-fill PX sherry cask and was bottled as a single cask by Murray McDavid. It belongs to the Mystical Malt Creatures series, four single casks of Caol Ila in which the same distillate meets four different cask types. The notes describe generous sweetness, raisins and chocolate, with an almost liqueur-like body set against maritime peat smoke.
