This is an 11-year-old Caol Ila from Islay, bottled by the independent bottler The Nectar. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026 from a single Sauternes hogshead, at 53% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Smoke runs through the nose, with honey, vanilla and citrus fruit and a salty, maritime edge. The palate adds peppery spice, creamy vanilla and light citrus, with oak staying in the background. Smoke and salt linger in the finish, followed by a soft honey sweetness.
