Caol Ila – 11 Year Old Saturn V 50th Anniversary Edition Launch Pad

Caol Ila 11 Year Old Saturn V 50th Anniversary Edition Launch Pad is an Islay single malt bottled to mark 50 years of the Saturn V rocket. It was matured in a single first fill bourbon barrel and bottled in 2022, giving an outturn of 132 bottles. The whisky is paired with a specially commissioned Launch Pad display made from ex-Scotch whisky casks. The Saturn V powered the Apollo missions, including the final Moon landing on Apollo 17, and launched Skylab, the first United States space station. It is described as showing Caol Ila's balance of peat smoke, citrus and maritime character, with vanilla sweetness and gentle spice from the bourbon wood.
