This is a 12 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, released by the distillery as its special bottling for visitors to the 2021 Islay Festival of whisky and music. The distillery manager, Sam Hale, selected it.
The whisky was finished in American oak casks that had been seasoned with Moscatel, a sherry-like wine. It was bottled in 2021 without chill filtration, at its natural cask strength of 57% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The release was limited to 3696 bottles.
