This is a single cask Caol Ila from Islay, distilled in August 2010 and bottled in June 2023 at 12 years old. Hunter Laing released it in its Old Malt Cask range, in a 70cl bottle at 48.6% ABV. The whisky was matured in a sherry butt, which gave 729 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose offers peat smoke, honey and a beach barbecue. The palate is warming, with oak, vanilla and almonds. The finish is long, with dry ash and more peat smoke.
