This Caol Ila from Islay was bottled to mark the 25th anniversary of The Old Malt Cask, released by Hunter Laing. It was distilled in February 2011 and bottled in October 2023 at 12 years old, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. It is a single cask release from a Manzanilla sherry butt, with 750 bottles filled. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose combines peat, brine and shortbread. The palate brings smoke, peat and gentle lemon, and the finish is long, with lingering peat.
