A 13 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, distilled in 2010 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It matured in a single refill bourbon barrel and was bottled in October 2023 at a cask strength of 53.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 165 bottles.
The nose is sweet cured meats, toffee, rich smoke and lemon peel. The palate brings oak char, smoked fruit, coastal notes and sweet spice, and the finish is full-bodied and vibrant.
