A 15-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by independent bottler North Star Spirits as part of Series 28, released for the company's 10th anniversary.
The spirit was distilled in May 2011 and matured in a refill hogshead until it was bottled in July 2026 at 49.5% ABV. It has no added colour and has not been chill-filtered. The release was limited to 300 bottles.
On the nose there is coastal salt and burnt seaweed over a peat-smoked bonfire. The palate brings sweet peat with plenty of burnt citrus, and the finish carries burnt orange rind and caster sugar.
