A Caol Ila from Gordon & MacPhail's Cask Strength range, distilled on 18 July 2006 and bottled on 5 September 2017 at 59.8% ABV. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The whisky was matured in first fill sherry butts, and this bottling is drawn from three of them.
Tasting notes describe a nose of brine, seawater, clams, lemon and ash. The palate brings sharp rhubarb and lemon, and the finish is long and rather medicinal.
