A 16-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023 by Berry's Own Selection. It was matured in a hogshead and bottled at 50.7% in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 145 bottles.
The nose combines sweet peat smoke, barbecued lemon, sugary ash with smoked barley, citrus sorbet and a touch of soot. The palate shows peat, citrus and an ashy bread roll with a sea breeze, sweet malt and smoked herring. The finish is long, with spice and peat smoke.
