A single malt from Caol Ila on Islay, from the 2007 vintage and bottled independently by Gordon & MacPhail. It is bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Caol Ila lies north of Port Askaig, directly on the Sound of Islay, with a view across to Jura. The distillery was built in 1846, and since 1974 it has worked from a rebuilt stillhouse with six stills. It is owned by Diageo and produces mainly for blends, notably Johnnie Walker.
