This is a single cask Caol Ila, an Islay single malt distilled in 2009 and released in 2022 at 12 years old by the independent bottler Douglas Laing as part of their Old Particular series. It is sold in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a refill hogshead that yielded 323 bottles. Douglas Laing bottled it at 48.4% ABV, a strength they favour and a close match for 85 Proof in the old imperial measure, without colouring or chill filtration.
