Caol Ila 2011-2017 is an Islay single malt bottled by Wilson & Morgan at 46% ABV. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2017. The peat is present without being overwhelming, which lets the quality of the spirit show through in subtle aromas. The body is intense yet soft. The nose is peaty and maritime but delicate, with sharp lemon and grassy notes. On the palate, ripe lemons, white wine reminiscent of buttery Californian Chardonnay and a soft malty sweetness are never overpowered by the smoke.
