A 10 year old Caol Ila distilled in 2015 and bottled by Dràm Mòr for its Summer Release 2025. It was matured in a single bourbon cask, then finished in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. Only 336 bottles were filled.
The nose is elegant and holds back the heavy peat smoke often found in other Islay whiskies, with warmer, softer peat emerging as the whisky breathes. The palate balances peat with unfolding sweetness, and a fruity sherry note blends into the gentle smoke. The finish is exceptionally long.
