A 2015 Caol Ila, nine years old, bottled by Dràm Mòr for its Spring Release 2024. Only 288 bottles were filled.
The whisky matured in a single bourbon cask and was then finished in a French oak Oloroso sherry hogshead.
On the nose, peat and sweetness sit together with salted caramel, cigar smoke and stone fruit. The palate returns to salted caramel, with the cigar smoke now closer to cigar ash and dessert fruits joining in. The finish is long and powerful, drawing the earlier flavours together before they settle.
