This is the 2020 Distillers Edition from Caol Ila, an Islay single malt and a special, limited release. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2020. It was double matured, finishing in Moscatel casks. The nose is smoky, maritime and medicinal, with fruit alongside. On the palate there is a medium level of peat, with salty smoke and fruit notes from the Moscatel finish. The finish is medium in length.
