The Distillers Edition is an Islay single malt from the Caol Ila distillery at Port Askaig, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the distillery's annual Distillers Edition series.
The whisky was double matured, in bourbon casks and then in Moscatel seasoned American oak.
The nose brings sweet peat smoke, green apple, beeswax, green grapes and vegetation. On the palate smoky and sweet impressions meet ash, pear, sea breeze, earthy notes and lemon. The finish is medium in length and dry.
