Cape Byron – Mac Liqueur Cask Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 45%)

Cape Byron Mac Liqueur Cask is an Australian single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 45% ABV as a limited edition. It was matured for more than three years in ex-bourbon barrels seasoned with a roasted macadamia and wattle seed liqueur, among subtropical rainforest and macadamia trees. The liqueur gave the casks notes of butterscotch, coffee and dark chocolate. In the glass it is described as buttery macadamia, cocoa, milk chocolate and a little dried apricot. The palate has depth of cocoa and cereal sweetness with hints of orange marmalade, and it finishes with warmth and oak spice.
