Cape Byron Viognier Cask Australian Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is an Australian single malt from Cape Byron Distillery in the Byron Bay region, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was created jointly by the distillery's co-founder and distiller Eddie Brook and Scotland's Jim McEwan. The whisky was matured in Viognier wine casks from the organically certified Inkwell wines of McLaren Vale, South Australia. Only 1100 bottles were released. The character is described as stewed apple and spice, buttered croissant, mocha, papaya and charred peach.
