Capel Pisco Reservado (70cl, 40%)

Capel Reservado is a Chilean pisco from the Elqui Valley in the Coquimbo Region, made by the Capel cooperative, founded in Vicuña in 1931 by local grape growers. Reservado is the cooperative's more elevated expression, triple filtered rather than double. The blend is 70% Pedro Jiménez and Torontel for aromatic depth and 30% Muscat for floral lift, in a 70cl bottle at 40% abv. The nose is fruity with a touch of smoke. The palate is surprisingly sweet, and the finish is long and fruity with herbaceous and vanilla notes.
