Caravedo Pisco Mosto Verde (75cl, 43%)

Caravedo Pisco Mosto Verde is a Peruvian pisco distilled from partially fermented grape must and bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is made at Hacienda La Caravedo in the Ica Valley. Four varietals are blended: Quebranta, Torontel, Italia and Albilla. Each is distilled from juice that is only partly fermented, which keeps residual sugars and aroma. Each rests for at least six months on its own and a further six after blending. It contains no water, sugar, colouring or wood flavouring, and is distilled directly to proof. The nose is melon, grape, white vanilla and apple. The palate is creamy, with cinnamon, orange blossom, dried dark fruit and a hint of chocolate. The finish is long, with cinnamon and orange blossom.
