Carpathian Vradiano Cask (70cl, 46%)

Carpathian Vradiano Cask is a Romanian single malt from the Alexandrion Saber 1789 Distillery, near the Carpathian Mountains, where whisky has been made since 2016. It uses 100% malted barley and sub-Carpathian water. The whisky first spent three years in first-fill American white oak ex-bourbon barrels of 53 gallons. It was then finished in 200 litre oak barrels that had held Vradiano, a Greek wine said to bring balanced vanilla notes. Bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
