Quinta do Bom Retiro is a 20 Year Old Tawny port from Casa Ramos Pinto, in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend matured for twenty years, during which the colour moves from early purple to garnet with orange glints.
The nose shows three layers of aroma: grapefruit, apricot, almonds and cocoa beans; vanilla, cinnamon, caramel and coffee from the wood; and ethereal notes of iodine and lacquer.
The port is elegant and enveloping, with a long, persistent finish.
