Cascade Moon 13 Year Old Rye (75cl, 50%)

Cascade Moon 13 Year Rye is the third edition in the Cascade Moon series from Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Selected by distiller Nicole Austin, it was distilled at MGP in Indiana from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The new charred American oak barrels spent three years in Indiana before moving to Tennessee in 2012, where they matured for a further nine to ten years in single-storey rickhouses. Around 750 bottles were released in December 2021. The nose is described as green apple, cinnamon, orange and grapefruit zest, fresh-cut grass, peach, apricot, baking spices, black cherries and caramel.
