Charbay Brandy No. 83 is a Californian brandy aged for 27 years in French oak, in a 75cl bottle at 40% abv.
It was double-distilled from Folle Blanche grown in Mendocino County in 1983, using a 660-gallon Alambic Charentais pot still. The brandy then matured in French Limousin oak. Each bottle is hand bottled and numbered.
It was released on 8 November, the anniversary of Miles Karakasevic's arrival in North America in 1962, and continues a family distilling tradition spanning 12 generations.
