Chateau de Pellehaut Armagnac Selection 5 Year Old

This is a 5 year old Armagnac from Chateau de Pellehaut, distilled at Chateau de Briat in the Bas-Armagnac village of Mauvezin-d'Armagnac. It is made from 100% Baco, single-distilled on a traditional wood-fired alambic Armagnacais still. The nose brings tarragon and a sweet, sugary note. On the palate come dried apricot, fresh fennel and dusty coriander. The finish is moreish, with red apple skin, treacle and a hint of preserved stone fruit.
