Château Mont-Redon 2023 Lirac Blanc (75cl)

This is a white Lirac from Château Mont-Redon, the Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate that has farmed 35 hectares in the Lirac appellation, northwest of Avignon, since 1997. It is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette and Viognier, grown on rocky pudding stone terraces. One third of the wine is fermented and matured in Burgundian barriques, and the rest in stainless steel, which gives some oak texture alongside freshness and aromatic clarity. It is medium-bodied and textured, with spiced apple, dried plum and baking spices, then lemongrass, banana, honeysuckle and a pinch of salt. Fresh acidity carries a long, vibrant finish.
