Chichibu Distillery II – Single Malt (70cl, 55.5%)

This is the first single malt released from Chichibu Distillery II, which began operations in 2019 close to the original Chichibu distillery in Saitama. Ichiro Akuto's second distillery has larger stills and ageing facilities. It is bottled at 55.5% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and is made up of whiskies of around four to five years old, with a small addition of heavily peated whisky. It is described as having honey-like sweetness, layered fruit, gentle smokiness and a malty finish.
