Chief's Son 900 Standard is an Australian single malt whisky, made from a base malt and a specialty malt. A small proportion of peated malt is included to add a deep caramel flavour. It was matured in ex-fortified French oak barrels and is bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is sweet fruit, sherry and roasted nuts, with baked toffee, butterscotch, sweet leather and oak. The palate is full of sherry, with oak and sweet barley, and a late note of caramelised peat. The finish is medium to long, sherried, with old oak.
