This is a 13 year old single cask Orkney single malt from Douglas McGibbon's Clan Denny range. It was distilled in 2007, matured in a refill cask and bottled at cask strength, 62.2% ABV, in 2020. The outturn was 371 bottles.
The nose opens with orange peel and salted butter, with earthy smoke arriving later. The palate brings caramelised nuts and salted chocolate alongside peat, a touch of sea air and a hint of citrus. The finish is peaty smoke with smouldering spice.
