This is a 13 year old Irish single grain whisky from Clonakilty Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV and with no added colouring.
It matured first in ex-bourbon casks on Ireland's rugged Atlantic coast, then received a finish in ex-rhum casks from Martinique. The result joins Irish maturation with a Caribbean finish.
The nose offers caramel, crème brûlée and tropical fruit with a fine note of toffee. On the palate come caramel sweetness, plenty of toffee, flambéed banana and fruity accents. The finish is long, with intense fruit and a pleasant sweetness.
