Clonakilty – Galley Head Bourbon Cask Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Galley Head Bourbon Cask is an Irish blend of 20% single pot still whiskey from the Clonakilty Distillery with Irish grain whiskey. The pot still portion adds spice, while the grain whiskey gives a silky texture. It matures only in ex-bourbon casks and is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It has no added colouring. Fruit, vanilla and a gentle sweetness lead, with ginger and elderberry adding a spicy contrast. The nose offers raspberries and baked green apples with a fine note of blossom honey. On the palate come vanilla and juicy raisins. The finish is light and clean, with ginger spice, a little elderberry and lingering sweetness.
