An Irish blend from Clonakilty Distillery, combining its own single pot still whiskey with single grain whiskey. It is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and former port casks from the Douro Valley, and bottled at 43.6% in a 70cl bottle with no added colouring.
The distillery was founded by the Scully family in County Cork. Its first cask of its own single pot still distillate was filled on 1 May 2019, and that whiskey is now part of this blend.
The nose offers fresh sweet apples, ripe peach and vanilla, with a creamy note and fine wood. The palate is fruity, with cherry, raisin, soft spices and a clear hint of cardamom. The finish is medium in length, with gentle spice and a touch of chocolate.
