Clonakilty Single Pot Still Ex-Bourbon, Oloroso & Amontillado Sherry Casks (70cl, 46%)

Clonakilty Single Pot Still is an Irish single pot still whiskey made from barley grown entirely in County Cork and triple-distilled in copper pot stills. It is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry and Amontillado sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. The nose is sweet vanilla with Demerara sugar, citrus and kiwi. On the palate come vanilla, stewed caramelised pear and apple, followed by gentle wood spice, dark chocolate and orange. The finish is long and smooth, with orange and a salty note.
