Clonakilty – Single Pot Still Moscatel Cask Finish (70cl, 59.8%)

This is a single cask Irish single pot still whiskey from Clonakilty, finished in Moscatel casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 59.8% in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey is made from 100% Irish barley, distilled and matured at Clonakilty. It spent time in ex-bourbon casks and in ex-Moscatel wine casks. No colouring is added. The nose brings vanilla, toffee and orange zest. On the palate there is dark chocolate, orange, roasted nuts and stone fruit, and the finish is long, with spice and fruity notes.
