Clonakilty – Single Pot Still Whiskey Ruby Port Cask Finish (70cl, 57.9%)

This is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Clonakilty, distilled in 2019 and finished in a ruby port cask. It was bottled at 57.9% in a 70cl bottle, and only 96 bottles were filled. The whiskey first matured in ex-bourbon casks overlooking the cliffs of Galley Head. In May 2023 it moved into the ruby port cask for its finish. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose is nutty, with port, sweetness, spice and dark berries. On the palate dark chocolate and port sweetness meet malt and pot still spice. The finish is long and spicy.
