Clyde May's Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Clyde May's Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a five-year-old bourbon made as a tribute to the brand's namesake, who was both a moonshiner and a careful craftsman. It is aged in heavily charred barrels and bottled at 92 proof without chill filtering, in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 78% corn, 12% rye and 10% barley. In the glass it is a rich crimson. The nose is soft and sweet, with brown sugar, baked apricot, wild strawberry and nutmeg. The palate is soft too, with barrel spice, fruit and oiled leather, leading into a long finish.
