Clynelish 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1819 and stands on the north-eastern coast of Scotland.
The spirit is matured in American oak casks. It is known for a waxy character and a slightly oily texture.
The nose brings sea breeze, beeswax, citrus peel, light smoke and soft malt. On the palate it is waxy and lively, with lemon zest, a little brine, gentle spice and dried herbs. The finish is long, clean and lightly spiced, with wax, coastal salt and a touch of citrus.
