This is a 20 year old Clynelish single malt, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2026 at 51.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a first fill bourbon barrel and released by Meadowside Blending in its The Maltman series, in an outturn of 215 bottles.
On the nose it is fruity and layered, with piña colada, orange peel and fine beeswax over a gently warm, slightly oily depth. The palate is silky and round, with white chocolate and marshmallow, ripe banana and tropical notes, and a restrained salty touch of butterscotch. The finish is balanced and warming, with sugared almonds, toffee apple and vanilla.
