Masam is a single malt from Clynelish in the Highlands, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2021 at its natural strength of 54.6% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the collection of the late Silvano Samaroli, the Italian independent bottler.
The release is a tribute to him, put together by his wife Maryse Samaroli, who has taken over from him. The whisky matured for many years in oak in the Scottish climate. It is a single barrel bottling that filled 292 bottles.
