Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bourbon (50%)

This is a small batch bottled-in-bond bourbon from Buffalo Trace, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). It is named after Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr, a founding figure of the bourbon industry who bought the O.F.C. Distillery, now Buffalo Trace, at the close of the Civil War. The bourbon is made from whiskey aged in century-old warehouses built during his time as owner. As a bonded bourbon, it comes from one distilling season at one distillery and is aged at least four years. The aroma is of raisins, sandalwood, vanilla, caramel and spice. On the palate are citrus sweetness, black pepper, cinnamon and tobacco.
