Connemara 12 Year Old Peated Single Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Connemara 12 Year Old is a peated single malt Irish whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. Its style draws on the 18th century practice of drying malting barley over peat fires, which gives a distinct peaty flavour and aroma with a delicate smokiness. The colour is bright gold. The nose shows creme brulee, singed flowers, dense spices and Provence herb soap. The palate is round and supple, dryish and medium to full in body, with praline, vanilla bean and peppercorns. The finish is very long and evolving, with honeyed cereal and grass.
