Connemara Peated Malt is a 12 year old Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40%. It comes from the Cooley range and does not follow the traditional triple distillation of Irish whiskey. It is smoky.
It is not like the classic Islay malts, though: there is no sea salt or iodine, because the whiskey is matured at Kilbeggan, about as far from the sea as anywhere in Ireland.
