Teeling Single Grain (70cl, 46%)

Teeling Single Grain is an Irish single grain whiskey bottled at 46%. It was distilled in the column stills at Cooley and follows an earlier Teeling family release, Greenore. Unusually for Ireland, it was matured entirely in Californian wine casks that previously held cabernet sauvignon. These gave it a dark copper colour and spicy, fruity flavours, while the maize and column distillation account for smooth, evenly sweet aromas. It is not chill-filtered. It was named World's Best Irish Single Grain at the 2017 World's Whiskies Awards.
