Connemara Peated Single Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Connemara Peated is an Irish whiskey bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its inspiration from the 18th century practice of drying malted barley over peat fires, which gives it a peaty flavour and aroma, a delicate smokiness and a sweet taste. The nose is sweet barley with wafts of peat smoke, kippers and baked apple crumble. On the palate, light honey sweetness sits alongside a clean, subdued smoke rather than a sooty one, with peaty vegetal notes, sweet barley water, light spice and vanilla oak.
