This is a grain whisky from Laggan Mill, bottled by Coopers in its Golden Cut series at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in Tawny Port casks.
The finish brings the dried fruit, nut and warm sweet notes associated with Tawny Port, giving a richer, fruitier profile and a pronounced cask character.
The nose is rich with dried fruit, raisins and soft caramel, with warm wood and a faint nuttiness. The palate is full and warming, with ripe red fruit, raisins and sweet caramel, plus hints of nuts and mild spice. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit, gentle sweetness and woody spice.
