Copper & Kings Apple Brandy Finished Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon blend, bottled at 55.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was finished for 12 months in American apple brandy barrels.
The blend combines five-, ten- and fifteen-year-old bourbons: 64% from Bardstown Bourbon Company, 24% from Barton and 12% from Heaven Hill. The finishing takes place in the brandy house's own used barrels, in a basement cellar where five sub-woofers provide sonic ageing.
Baked apple, cinnamon, brown sugar and orange zest lead the nose. The palate brings apple butter, toffee, nougat, clove and black pepper, and the long finish carries pepper, baking spice, buttercream and honey.
