Coppercraft Distillery Straight Bourbon is a Michigan straight bourbon bottled at 48.5% ABV (97 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It blends sourced bourbons of 4+ and 11+ years old.
The blending follows brandy and cognac-inspired methods developed by Master Blender Nancy Fraley. It takes three months from barrel selection to bottling, so the different age stocks integrate gradually.
The nose has caramel, vanilla, cocoa, roasted apple and baking spice, with oak, maple syrup and a touch of menthol. The palate is smooth and slightly sweet, with caramel, corn, vanilla, toasted oak, pear and orange. The finish is long and warming, with caramel, oak and a little cocoa bitterness.
