Copperworks – Peated American Single Malt Release 042 (75cl)

Copperworks Peated American Single Malt Release 042 is a Washington State peated whiskey in a 75cl bottle. It was put together from six casks that matured for more than five years. Every cask was brewed and distilled from 100% Copeland barley grown in Washington's Skagit Valley, then smoked during malting with peat from a lakebed on the Olympic Peninsula. The nose brings vanilla bean paste, ripe passion fruit and pineapple with a light smokiness. Candied almonds and salted caramel open the palate before oak and tannins develop, and the finish carries pine sap, bread crust and white pepper into fig jam and fruit leather.
