Bosque Verde is an Australian single malt from Corowa, bottled at 46% in a 50cl bottle. It takes its name from the Spanish for Green Grove, a nod to the farm where the distillery began. The whisky was matured in American oak barrels that previously held Australian Port, which is where its cherry, chocolate and cinnamon character comes from. On the nose there are cherries, pears, raisins, spice and oak, with a hint of chocolate. The palate is warm and spicy, with nuts, cinnamon and malt. The finish is long, sweet and soft, with a little vanilla.
